Beautiful Tubed (Bottle Head) Amplifier...

Wardsweb,

I know I have probably said this before, "What a beautiful tubed amplifier". :D ;) :D Does your amplifier sound as good as it looks? Also, are those GE tubes in your amp.? I thought GE no longer was in the business of manufacturing tubes? How did you manage to acquire those tubes? If they are GE tubes?

What is a "bottlehead"?

enlighten me.
Tubes use to be refered to as bottles in the old days, so people into tube audio may be called a "bottle head". Kind of like being a Dead Head, if you're into the Grateful Dead. Then there is the company that sells many of the tube kits that members build: http://www.bottlehead.com Last because we are in Texas, the Lone Star state, you get Lone Star Bottleheads.

Thanks! I figured it was something like that. I have never heard a tube amp before, but it's interesting to me... I'd love to hear them pushing Logans.

Anyone in the Bay Area want to enlighten me futher by hosting a tube listening party?
