I just want to say that I remember you from our exchanges on audiogon's systems page. I like your price is no object approach, however, this is beyond me, so I'll leave the tips and comments to the more experienced.

Thanks for your comment. I received lots of helpful hints, most of which suggested meridian equipment which I have looked at. I finally broke down and called Pass Labs since this will be the equipment that a processor will need to match. They suggested either Theta or Lexicon. Decided on Lexicon MC-4 (relatively easy(!) to use and has the features that I will be most likely to use. Am adding Stage center and Script i's as rear. Probably will be ready to go in about a month. Touch base and I will tell you how it sounds.
