Hi all,

After some time spent lurking here, I need to ask some advice. I want to disassemble my vintage Sequell II 's to redo the paintjob etc. Is there a good way / procedure to take these apart, preferably in a way that they can be put together again without problems? I'm sure it has been done and I don't want to learn from my mistakes, I'd rather learn from others's mistakes :)

Unplug speaker and let sit overnight to be sure all power is disappated from all sources in electonics. Lethal voltage is present if you go at this right after disconnecting - be careful.

Lay speaker on their backs on cushioned substance.

To take off the side rails. Screw on the bottom, tap the rails up and they will unhook. Panels then come off front of speaker - watch wires connected to panels from electronics and disconnect from electronics.

Electronics are screwed on - 4 screws and they come off.

Woofers are screwed on, remove screws and unhook wires.

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply.
It is good to know that the siderails come off by tapping them upwards. I wasn't sure about that, had the rest figured out.
