When Stereophile reviewed the SL3, they also ran a sidebar detailing how they achieved a "completely treated room" using Tube Traps. I've always found it a fascinating read, and wanted to scan and post it here. I asked John Atkinson, Stereophile's Editor, permission to do so. It seems that I just didn't search thoroughly and it's been on the Stereophile site. John wrote back to provide a link (thanks John):

Based on ideas in that sidebar and in other articles about acoustic treatments, I've experimented, happily, with some treatments, which I documented in the link below. (I still have a long way to go.)

Happy reading and experimenting!

dangerous news

jfm: thanks read the Stereophile and went to the Jan 19th of yours, and got started with musicplayer articles. Sure is a lot to consider and try to re-arrange, (read WIFE approval), but the traps look lie a better way to travel. Thanks DT300, I do remember the post you did with the interconnects was great.
