hi,

i just bought a pair of isolation transformers that smell to high heaven of cigarette smoke. any clues on how to get the smell off them?

they don't have "innerds"

wipe them off with a damp cloth. that should do it.

tried that last night, i suspect i'm going to have to dissassemble them. or maybe blow compressed air into them.

or wrap them in garlic :)

Open box of baking soda?

Aromatic cedar chips?

Don't think you want to use sulfur like the ancient Greeks - could do some damage.;)

Put each one in a bag with sometype of zip lock or something to close it tightly with a fabric softner sheet, i.e. Bounce, Cling-Free, and let it sit there for a few hours.

This should help and they won't have any static cling either. LOL

Jeff ;)
