Like Tim at RMAF this year, I decided to spend my time listening rather than taking notes or photographing.

I only took a few photographs, and don't really have any notes to accompany them - only my memory. All photos from my Nexus 6P, so sorry about the quality.

Devialet amplifiers were all over the place. Not sure why? I didn't like them.

Photos to come.

Bang & Olufsen

Crikey - I wasn't expecting a lot here, but I actually didn't mind these. Extraordinary sound was achieved here.

Whatmough

Whatmough (Australian speaker company) Signature, driven by Parasound JC1s.

I have never heard the JC1 before, but I can see why ML like to use it for a lot of their audio show demonstrations. Great amps!

Gold Note

Very pleasing sound from this all Gold Note system - from cartridge through to speaker.

Krix

Yeah......more Devialet amps. But this time they sounded okay with Krix speakers. I'm currently running a pair of Krix in my living-room audio system so I know them well.

Spec/Wilson Benesch

This room sounded great with the extraordinary Wilson Benesch Torus. Can't remember what the speakers were.

Kyron Audio (Australia)

I've heard Kyron at other audio shows (the more expensive Gaia) and haven't been impressed. But this smaller system (Kronos) was just amazing. So much control with super wide stage.

The Dohmann turntable and Ypsilon phono stage only added to the magic. I spend the best part of 2 hours here :)

Ypsilon and Dohmann

Especially for Tim.......I spent hours in this room. Can't get enough of the SET100.

And this was the first time I have heard the Dohmann turntable.......an extraordinary bit of engineering

And the Studer tape deck.....wow.

Audio Note

I am surprising myself that I am devoting a post to Audio Note, but I actually really enjoyed this room this year.

I still can't get over how expensive this stuff is.

Two treats in October first RMAF 2016 and now Australian Audio Show.

Adam thanks for allocating time and making physical and mental effort to capture memories of Australian Audio Show.

The images have a artistic feel to them and are great. No need to be concerned images not taken from traditional camera.

Once again, Adam thanks very much for sharing the enjoyable experience with us.

I have a friend with a top notch AN system and is always switching his AN gear.

The systems major on tone rather than outright hi-fi performance or accuracy I think.

Can you say anymore about the B&O speaker characteristics Adam?

Cheers for the pics.

Justin, is the AN stuff as hideously expensive as the AN Japan (Ongaku, I think) stuff?

Yes, thanks for the audio porn Adam. Was there any ARC stuff there?
