Just got home - it's far too late, but just one to whet the appetite. Further posts to follow. IMG_2767.jpg

KEF Blade and Gryphon System

Start off with the KEF Blade and Gryphon System. Lovely and smooth, but a little lacking in the utmost detail. I've heard Gryphon amps with the CLX and love them!IMG_2716.jpg

Headphones were everywhere and the little MBLs were punching well above their weight.

Wisdom Audio - best sound at show.

CLX beating planars with refrigerator-sized regenerative transmission line subwoofer and full system controller.

I did ask but am going from memory - the speakers (including subwoofer and system controller) was AUD$210,000 I think? Thereabouts.

Marantz room - Model 9 replica (love it!) and good to talk to the man (KI) himself.

All Linn system sounding as boring as ever. Linn is one I don't get (like Audio Note, more about which later) - huge expense for very ordinary sound........They're streamers are quite nice though.......

The Montis were also sounding quite ordinary. Likely a room issue though.....

Osborn - this room always sounds great. I don't know how easy they'd be to live with, but I remember hearing great sound from Osborn right back when I was about 15 years old at my first audio show. And a close up of the big 845 amps just for Justin.

Ypsilon / Analysis Audio.

This sounded marvellous through the Weiss.

And very ordinary through the $AUD25,000 Spiral Groove turntable........not sure what was wrong there. A good demo for those that want to see digital blow analogue out of the water.

Maggie with the Sanders Magtech...I was expecting more quite frankly. Wasn't pushing vocals out in front as I have come to expect (and love) from my 'Logans......

And while the man of the house was away, galavanting around an audio show, the second-eldest man took my place very happily.

That's where I'm going now. More updates shortly.......
