Aerius i sound harsh

Hi i have a pair of aerius i speakers had them about 3 month and having owned another pair about 10 years ago have an idea what they sounded like but this pair sound harsh at top end so i decided to remove the back off them to have a look if i could see any problems. But i can not see anything other than there some burning on mdf board where some one been messing about soldering. I have put a few pics on to see if any one thinks any of the parts are not standard

Your images are not all that helpful Steve... Take a look at this Aerius re build and perhaps PM the author if he's still around

Have you run DSP on it, something like Audyssey? I bet that would help tremendously.
