    ML ESL Trouble

No, just the panel with the second receiver, no sound from the woofer. With the first receiver, nothing from the speaker worked and the receiver shut down again. That’s completely disconnected and ready to be returned!

    ML ESL Trouble

That makes sense. So I decided to hook up another receiver to my system as a test. It’s new but much less power. Everything worked fine, which suggests the Anthem is definitely faulty. But my speaker is still gone. Having said that, I could clearly hear sound from the panel, but nothing from...

    ML ESL Trouble

I took the bottom off, but didn’t disconnect anything so it was hard seeing everything inside. Having said that, I couldn’t see anything burned but could easily smell it.

    ML ESL Trouble

So it’s been awhile since I posted in here! But like before I’m in need of advice. I purchased my ESLs in 2013. Had them set up for about 4 years, no issues. We move in 2018 and I pack up my speakers in the original packaging. They were stored in a spare room until last week when I finally had...

    EM-FX2 overkill!?

Have been doing some critical listening and there's a clear difference in the fx2 and the klipsch I purchased. There's much more depth and clarity in the fx2s. Having said that, it's heard with the volume up listening to music on all channel stereo. During movies, they are rears, and there's...

    EM-FX2 overkill!?

Does it matter if the surrounds and rears are not matched? The sensitivity are about the same but the ohms and max watts are different. The fx2 are rated at 5ohms with max 200watts, the klipsch are 8 with 75watts I'm not going to lie, I'm foggy on the whole ohms and watts stuff. I've been...

    EM-FX2 overkill!?

Looking for some opinions on surrounds and rear surrounds. I currently have EM-ESLs for the fronts, C2 centre and 2 EM-FX2s up on the wall for surrounds, and the Dynamo 700 sub. I'm looking to add the rear channels. I picked up a set of Klipsch RS4200b just to hear the 7.1 in action. Sounds...

    Worthy upgrade to Scenarios?

At the end of the day, it's all a personal preference. As for myself, I went to the store and listened to a set of energy veritas towers and the ESL. Both were set up next to each other. The veritas had a great dispersion and punch, but the clarity of the ESLs were exceptional. Certainly spent...

    Worthy upgrade to Scenarios?

I agree, the clarity is amazing. If you enjoy listening to music beyond a level of just "turning on music for something to do", you will not be sorry. Definitely worth the money.

question on center channel and reciever

The degree angle would be an imaginary line from your tv, straight towards your listening area, then imagine the line goes immediately to your left and right ( 90 degrees) and if your room allows it, the speaker can be placed slightly behind you(up to 110 degrees)

    Dynamo subs

2 small questions regarding the dynamo subs. First, I currently have the dynamo 700, great sub. I'm using it with my Electromotion ESLs and FX2s. I've noticed that the sub "pops" from time to time. It's very random and could occur at anytime. I guess it's hard to explain it, other than it seems...

question on center channel and reciever

Based on what I have read, your surrounds should be placed from 90-110 degrees from your listening position and approx 6'0 up onto the wall. It should be around 1-2 feet above your head at seated position. That's my plan, when I receive them. Again, this is only from what I've read. Maybe some...

question on center channel and reciever

I added the C2 to my ESL floor standing speakers about a month ago and it is amazing. The voices jump out at you. If there is anyway you can fit the C2 in your set-up, I'd suggest it. I just added the dynamo 700. Fills the bass out superbly. It's clear and relaxing to listen to. I'm awaiting for...

    Dynamo 700w FF or DF

Just added a Dynamo 700w sub to my slowly but surely home theater set up. Room size is 12x17. Using the ELectromotion ESL for fronts and the C2 for my center. I have the sub placed in the front left corner of the room, down firing. I cannot pinpoint where the bass is coming from, so the...

    Open box speaker

It's amazing how much one complements the other. So I currently have the ML Electromotion ESLs and the ML C2. I'm still using the Bose 301s for my surrounds. Honestly the center is so powerful(compared to the Bose) I hardly know my ESLs are working!! I'm using an Onkyo 818. May in time add a...

    Open box speaker

Bought and set up. Just replaced my Bose vcs-10. It's a day and night difference. It's a whole new level of HT. Martin Logan rules!!

    Open box speaker

Is it worth buying an open box speaker from Future Shop. I'm looking at the ML C2 center. I can get a couple of hundred off. Is it worth it or just buy it new. I still get the warranty.

    Sound problem

Just thought about this small question. Def would like some input from some hard core music listening people. When testing, changing, adjusting, etc. what source do most recommend? Blu-ray concerts, something on DVD, mp3 and other formats? I listen to music typically from sirusxm or some...

    Sound problem

There's been some significant improvements in sound, just from the advise on this thread alone. I've made a decision that I'm going to add a power amp. I'll never know until I try. The sound is currently "Filling out" but I'd like to see what it can sound like with some extra power, or at least...
