$ is No Object Your Ultimate Amplifier for ML's...

Being a McIntosh guy this would be my choice.

Save the World Listen in the Dark

I agree, listening late at night with the light out and staring into those big blue McIntosh eyes. Simply bliss!

    Mcintosh Amp w/ ML

I certainly think so and Martin Logan does a lot of demo's using McIntosh gear. However, the only way you'll know for sure is to listen for yourself.

Great Time at Da Vinci Media

Congrat's on the new amp. It's one of McIntosh's most popular amps for a good reason. :rocker:

Anti-SACD Digital Can Suck Really Badly Super Hate Mega Post!

You can always switch to XRCD. IMHO, sounds better than SACD and plays in "all" players; however, it costs more and there are fewer titles unless you are really fond of Japanese music.

Considering CLX purchase - wife says yes

If possible I'd keep the center channel speaker along the same plane as the CLXs. Currently, my center is bolted to the wall so it's close to four feet from my Ascent's. As a result, the power needed by my center is significantly greater that my Ascents. During spirited listening it's not...

What Speakers Do You Rate As Better Than Martin Logans?

If I were to find an acceptable screen I'd certainly be willing to use 3 CLXs; however, I would prefer that ML develop one so that us consumers would have placement/screen options. :D

What Speakers Do You Rate As Better Than Martin Logans?

I would like to see a "matched" center capable of filling a large space. The CLX wants a large space and I would like to see a center channel that is of the same caliber as the CLX with the same power requirements, etc. I currently have a Theater i and I question it's (or any of their current...

    Any Kindle owners here?

Rich: I agree with you. I think the Kindle use the correct technology for the right reason -- reading! I've read the Kindle for several hours non-stop with no more fatigue than reading a traditional book. Not to mention the detail it's capable of delivering. I wish I could a dual computer...

What Speakers Do You Rate As Better Than Martin Logans?

I agree I don't think I would go to a typical point source speaker either. For now I'm a pretty happy camper and moving in a different direction just doesn't make sense. Now if ML would just make a center channel to specifically match up with the CLX.

What Speakers Do You Rate As Better Than Martin Logans?

That's an interesting question. Lets see if I can answer it without getting banned for life. :D To start and, lessen my chances of banishment, I think that the current used market for Summits puts them in a unique category where nothing can really touch them. Also, I think the CLX is priced at a...

Conclusions and Confusions: Not just another "Which Amplifier" thread...

Sorry, I missed the $5K limit. It will absolutely be greater than $5K -- probably closer to $10K.

Conclusions and Confusions: Not just another "Which Amplifier" thread...

Another fine amp to consider is the McIntosh MC303. Here is a brief write up from Mc: At 300 watts per channel the new McIntosh MC303 Three Channel Power Amplifier with Autoformers delivers its maximum rated output power into 2, 4, or 8 ohm loads for the lowest noise and distortion performance...

    Any Kindle owners here?

They may be able get it from your site; however, what's compelling to me is that sitting on a commuter train for a little over a buck I could download it directly and enjoy it right then. To me that's a cheap price for instant gratification.

    Any Kindle owners here?

It looks like other mags range from $1.25 to 3.50. with most between 1.49 and 2.50. I'd pony up $1.50 for when I want it portable. I don't think that's an unreasonable price.

    Any Kindle owners here?

Will Tone be able to be downloaded to the Kindle? That would be very cool and a great way to read the mag.
