    Hi Everyone

I just bought the 11A as well and for my taste I found the McIntosh MC462 sounded the best to me. Give it a listen too as well. The shop I bought them from had Pass, McIntosh, Kroll and Anthem. I listened to them all and it took me several weeks to make up my mind,,,lol

yes the 901's were great if you had the right room. Surprised they even worked that good as most of the sound was reflected...lol. We have an audio store in Toronto that I bought most of my stereo stuff from. Audio Eden. Have a lot of used and demo articles. I just have to buy some...

Morning. I had the British Quad 100 watt amp and ESL 55's. It was a great sounding system for that time period. I had a thorens turntable feeding the system. I sold that to travel the USA and Canada for a couple of years and then when I got back into the sound systems I went box speakers...

    Martin Logan esl 11a parings

I had the Moon 440 mono blocks and they did not sound good at all with the 11a's. The speakers were new so not broken in so that may have been part of it not sure. Still not broken in yet but demoed the Anthem and the McIntosh 462. Kept the 462 as lots of detail and the soundstage is amazing...

    A little big Help

I have the 11a's and driving them with MC462 and when playing loud they sound even better. I have 1/4 " acoustic panel behind the speakers (4'x 3'). Have you looked at the amperage you're drawing off the circuit you are plugged into. Your amps should have the amperage they will draw and it...

Thanks RJ. I find the MC462 is doing a great job. I use the McIntosh D100 as my pre-amp as I have ripped all my CD's so using Roon to catalogue my musicians then stream. Saving up to buy the new Dac McIntosh just brought out. I don't think I ever will add a separate Pre to the system.

It has taken a couple of day to set them up but I think I have them dialled in. Can't believe the soundstage and the low end. Match the Winds in that department.

Hi. Just took delivery of the ESL 11a. I based this purchase based on what I had read on this forum. Thanks.....I made the right decision as they fill the dedicated room perfectly. They replace a pair Totem Winds that were in the system for 8 years. I'm running the McIntosh MC462 with the...
