GG Thanks for the reply. Which one is the puck you're using? http://www.bdrsound.com/site/mobile?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bdrsound.com%2FThe_Puck_and_The_Pit.html#2972 Also, you're right I haven't done much tuning to the speaker. Do you have link to all these info? Chai

    Summit Platform/install

IMHO, this might varies to electronics and room acoustic PLUS wooden floor installation differences. For mine, I use Spire, no down firing but still has one powered sub front firing. I originally install the spire on granite platform; very sturdy and sound right on first installation. After a...

Gen Y prefers more accurate audio - but does not like ML

i believe much of it also links to the type of music Harman put to the ear of test subject. More Pop, tight deep bass and more lyrics than instrumental; this might well fitted by typical dynamic speakers and not Vista. The "Y" are not looking for clarity in sound but more of what they can feel...

    Amp for Vista? Please help

ha ha... yes they should with that room condition. But to give the store some credit, picture shown was from their smallest "testing" room. They have some impressive audition rooms as well -- with advance reservation. http://www.audioexcellence.co.th/

    Amp for Vista? Please help

Hi from Bangkok (as well) Sawasdee krub Khun mikroski: I think you went to the right place for Vista auditioned -- audio excellece at SOGO. To my knowledge, they are the only authorized ML store in Thailand (i also got my Vista from them about 2 years ago). About the bass, i think ML sound...

    Apple Lossless and FLAC

Just like what some of our experience member shared, I couldn't hear any differences between ALAC and FLAC in perfect environment as well. But the reason I said perfect environment is b/c SB3 plays each format differently. For FLAC, the compressed data is being feed directly into the box and...

Need suggestion for spkr cable for Vista

Dan: Bangkok is still, mostly, the same for tourist attraction. But weather is kind dull due to high temperature + unpredictably raining from time to time, which is nature of Bangkok. Anyway, you should plan your time to revisit Thailand. Besides city tour, ocean is very beautiful in the south...

Need suggestion for spkr cable for Vista

Recently, after I had more time listening to my system, I developed the impression that my first note bass sound was somehow missing with current chain. Picking spkr cable of MIT Avt3 Biwire as target spot, now I'm auditioning VD David Biwire and sure it prove my curiosity -- now the bass is...

    Newbie self-explanatory-introduction

Lugano: Will seek some home trial for Kimber 8TC and let you know the result. Somehow, I think the network box that MIT spkr cable provided (breakout into High and Low output) might mismatched with ML internal crossover. I did test with VD David (just dual solid cores of spkr wires) for home...

    System #185 (Spire)

Guys: Thanks a lot for all greetings for a newbie like myself. Looking forward to contribute my limited knowledge to the group and vice versa. I gradually upgraded my components: Amplifier (Ayre does runs quite hot though, but sounded very musical!), Speakers, AC treatment, etc. My latest step...

    Newbie self-explanatory-introduction

Lugano: Thank you very much for your "prompt" reply (about 3 mins after my post). Regarding Kimber 8TC, how can it fit Biwire configuration? Ayre V3 only has 1 pair per channel and 2 pairs at ML Vista... So, cable should be 2 x (2->4)?
