Just ordered one of the close-out NHT Amplifier 2's. At $499 I couldn't pass it up. It's supposed to have the latest B&O modules. I'll follow up with listening impressions on my SL3's.

I'm thinking about going active. If I want a "starter" quality x-over, something that will improve the sound over a bi-amped passive system, how nice of a crossover do I need to get? Can I get by with a low-end Behringer or dbx, or would it muddy up my sound?

I'm tempted to pickup a pair, but would like to hear a set so I know what the woofer integration sounds like before I drive down to get them.
