I had one of the "pull the face off" models and the one night I left it in guess what happened? It was in my Jeep Wrangler which was certainly not hard to break into. I know which one of the neighborhood kids did it but of course couldn't prove it.

Hello, not the Montis but I am driving my ESL X's with my Silver 7T amps. Sound great and haven't had any issues.

I'm surprised there are no takers on this, unless of course they were done via private messages. This is an attractive price and would love to grab it but house projects are currently eating up the budget right now.

I am assuming it is still the one time charge. I did this years ago but once you do the transfer you just download the Google Voice app for your phone. Yea, slab style phones are not conducive to comfort. If it is going to be a long call I pull out the headset.

I transfered our home number to Google Voice, one time $20 charge. It's controlled by an app on my mobile, use that number to give out when I don't want to give out my mobile number.

Got my ESL X's from Crutchfield also, great to deal with. Was not pleased with the original speakers I got, sent those back and got the ESL X.

If you're not overdriving the amp (into distortion) it should not harm the amp as long as it's running within it's specified power band.

Good question, I have had my ESL X's over a year and I am very pleased with them. I am driving them with a pair of Carver Silver Sevent's that have been refurbished and put out over 500 watts so I cannot talk to using lower power amps. That said, I have been interested in upgrading to the next...

This was a couple of years ago, the Bob Carve Site referred me to Deltronics for the refurb. They did a great job at a reasonable price.
