Agree with Rich. Also, in that size room, you probably can't get far enough way from them and pull them out from the wall enough to justify diffusion. I would simply absorb that back wave, be done and be very happy!

Looks great! I did pretty much the same thing only I used granite under my Summits which, with the 1/2 down firing woofers really tightened up the bass.

Or you could just use a plumb bob...

1/3 via flashlight will put you in the ballpark, but as other have said, fine tuning will depend on your room, sweet spot, treatments and most of all your particular taste.

2x agree. Also, speaker cables can most certainly be used for subs. I would worry more about the other way around.
