Better Speaker Than CLX Art + Stereo BF212, What Might It Be?

Hey Jonathan, The place to "make your case" is in the AVS Altitude thread. It's monitored every day by HQ in France looking for issues and suggestions.

Better Speaker Than CLX Art + Stereo BF212, What Might It Be?

Yeah, I had the same effect when I was running a Seaton SubMersive in my system, but the reality is that the minimum for sensing 10Hz is ~100dB, whereas most of the gut punch effects reside in the 40-50Hz region. Turned out I hated the room pressurization intrinsic to monopole subs and ended up...

Better Speaker Than CLX Art + Stereo BF212, What Might It Be?

Some of the craziest LF I've ever heard was in a way into six figures setup using big Wilsons with two Gotham subs. I thought my internal organs were being rearranged.

Where are all the CLX, 15a or Neolith users?

Hi Gary, long time no see! You must be the most reticent of posters, as I can't recall the last time you posted in the Trinnov thread. Have to say, your system is insane. Which home is it in? I hope all is well and it would be nice to get together, again, whenever you're in town. Ken

Will this amp damage my Summit X?

No reason this should damage the Summits at all. In fact, the Hypex nCore amp modules have terrific specs, including linearity at the kind of low impedance Martin Logans present at high frequencies. I built and used a pair of NC400 amps a few years back and thought they were excellent...

    Audyssey MultEQ-XT vs Dirac Live In H/T with 5 M/L Esl's (& 2-in ceiling rears)

Thanks for this, Flavio. Mathias Johansson explains how Dirac handles late reflections, and much more, in this excellent interview with HTG: Which is an excellent discussion of mixed-phase correction, in general.

    Audyssey MultEQ-XT vs Dirac Live In H/T with 5 M/L Esl's (& 2-in ceiling rears)

Functionally, Dirac is a significantly better RC product than any Audyssey implementation as it uses FIR filters above Schroeder vs. IIR filters. Every user I know who's taken the time to learn how to properly utilize Dirac, after using Audyssey, claims to hear significant improvement...
