Hello! 70 yo from Beaumont, CA

Wow - more So Cal members coming out of the woodwork! I'm in Tustin, also a huge ML fan. Welcome to the board Prefabfan01. Currently using my 15As for both 2-channel and home theater. C34A center, Magnepan 1.7s for my surrounds and MMC2s for my rears, plus 3 ML subwoofers for the bottom...

Are the BalancedForce 212's out of production?

I bought my 15As, two BF210s and my C34A from Shawn. He is a great vendor!

DaVinci Media inventory closeout including a pair of CLXs!!! IMO the best speakers dollar for dollar ever made :)

If I didn't already have the 15As, pretty sure I'd be checking out those CLXs...

    Recent review of 15a's

    Nice find @jimbill!

    Anyone with recent Lampizator experience?

Depending on your budget, you may want to check out the upcoming (perhaps it's "new" by now) Poseidon DAC. But I think the Atlantic 3 TRP is a fantastic DAC. It pairs quite well with my MU1 (which happily plays my DSD files, though with a conversion to DXD... so it's kind of the inverse of...

    A question for you

Re-panel them and enjoy. Research / consider crossover upgrades. I don't know the answer to this: are replacement woofers available? If not, that could force the crossover issue.

Custom Finishes on Masterpiece Series Products

I think @DaVinci Media might be able to provide some useful guidance for you. I ordered one of the "standard" optional colors and I think it added something like 4 weeks to the production process, but that was during the pandemic so it could be totally irrelevant.

New here, not (yet) an owner. Couple of questions, too.

He probably already moved on with a different solution. His post was in 2017...

New Member Seeking Opinions/Sanity Checks Regarding Sequel II to ESL15a Upgrade

Edit: Glad you sorted out the dropout problem! The Gaia feet are fantastic on these speakers. You're going to love those results. ARC should only be affecting the bass on these, so I'm a bit confused how it could affect the top end... but stranger things have been known to happen. Adding...

Sold Martin Logan Aeon i Speakers (Maple Trim) in SoCAL

Those look quite nice! Good luck with the sale. For anyone considering them, Martin Logan can still provide replacement panels for these if / when needed. I repaneled my Aerius speakers a couple years ago and they were and are amazing.

    Best speaker cable for CLS?

I'll just drop this in here... https://trackingangle.com/equipment/iconoclast-series-2-audio-cables Edit: To balance that out a bit, they do offer much less expensive products as well, though certainly not as cheap as 12 gauge zip wire. AND I'll add: if you can't hear a difference in your own...

    I’m back!

My 15As were delivered around September, if I recall correctly. Might've been late in the month or even October. In any case, they're my L/R speakers for the "home theater" as well as the obvious two-channel speakers. They see a lot of hours. I'm now confident they're fully broken in and...

    I’m back!

How many hours of break in do you have on them? There can be a number of reasons for what you describe but break in is the most likely. Edit: hopefully cohabitants and neighbors aren't a problem for you. I'll suggest breaking in with peaks in the upper 70 dB range, maybe even in the 80s if...

    Best speaker cable for CLS?

BACCH4mac is one of the main purchases I'll be making in the fairly near future. I've only heard fantastic things about it.

    Best speaker cable for CLS?

I'm not familiar with those cables, but I will encourage you to check out the multi-thousand response thread in the PS Audio forum discussing Iconoclast cables - speaker and interconnect - and check out their site as well. Thread Site The primary engineer behind them uses them in his personal...
