    Time to say goodbye .........

Congratulations Dave! I joined the retirement club myself last month after 45 years in the Industrial Design game, the last 18 of which were in Architectural Lighting. Enjoying the heck out of not working thus far, but have been busy enough I haven't really noticed a significant pick up in my...

How is Tim doing after 1st knee?

Thanks Tom, Dave and Brad. All is good. I’ll be a new man in a couple of months.

How is Tim doing after 1st knee?

Wow Brad, I wasn’t expecting a whole thread dedicated to my knees! Thanks for the kind thoughts. After an insurance issue the day my surgery was originally scheduled, I was forced to postpone for a few days, eventually going under the knife on Oct. 30. Recovery and rehab have been pretty good...

My favorite room was probably the one with the Vienna Audio speakers flanked by the stacks of REL subwoofers fed by Boulder electronics. It had a fantastic soundstage and with the six subs it had an absolutely visceral impact when called upon, literally like a punch in the gut on big orchestral...

As well as a few shots of the venue at the Gaylord. Soooo much better than the old Marriott down south. Better rooms, great bars and restaurants, easy access. I’m glad they moved it and hope they keep it here in the future.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Brad. I’m not looking forward to the surgeries but I’m a big proponent of PT. We’ve got a Peloton bike and tread, so they’ll come in handy as I rehab, with a goal of being back on the bike in time for spring races once our Colorado snow melts. No fat bike...

Hey Dave, I went to the show at the Gaylord this year after missing last year. The Gaylord was awesome! I didn’t pay for parking either of the days I attended (Friday and Saturday). I didn’t take a bunch of notes like I did in years past, but I did snap a few shots I’m happy to share. Sorry...

    System #536 (CLS II)

Looks like an awesome setup. There are days when I truly miss my CLS’s.

    New speakers

Gordon, the Pulsars were on my short list for a long time as well. Phenomenal speakers for the size and price. Paired with the REL I’m sure you will have fun for years to come.

    SACD Player Recomendations

Dave, I picked up an Oppo 105D not long after they were discontinued (as it was their last player to offer HDCD decoding), and have been extremely happy with it. While I listen primarily through my computer, I decided I still wanted the ability to spin a disc on occasion and wanted to be able to...

Retirement and moving / one down - one to go

Wow, I haven't been here for awhile and you have a whole new life Gordon. I guess it's a good thing I've been spending all my time riding my bike instead of on the interweb, but wow... Congrats!
