    Summits with Lyndorf Amp

I am only interested in 2 Channel and, as regards the REL, the Management wants to see the back of it and so has agreed to the purchase of Summits......

    DC Blocker

I use a DC blocker. The most obvious improvement was in preventing the noise through the system whenever a hair dryer was switched on in the house. I see it as an essential tool to prevent crap in the mains getting into my system.

    Summits with Lyndorf Amp

I am currently running a pair of Theos with a REL sub on a Lyndorf TDAi2170, but am looking to replace the Theos with Summit or Summit X, so I can remove the REL sub. These older speakers are preferable to the current ranges of speakers as the box at the back with the bass units is much smaller...

    Power Supplies On ML ESL

Hmm.... those iFi supplies look very interesting. There seems to be a view that the problem with wall wart power supplies is the amount of interference they push back into the mains, so perhaps the ESL sensitivity to their supplies is related to whether you have mains treatment for your system...

    More Feet/Spike Advice

I don't know how thick the concrete is but, as I said, it was laid on top of thermal insulation material. I guess it would have been thick enough not to break up under normal domestic use but not so thick that it completely compressed the insulation.

    More Feet/Spike Advice

Hi Biker, as no-one else has responded to your questions, I will try …… Products such as IsoAcoustics GAIAs and the Townshend Audio Seismic Isolation Podiums, work by isolating the speaker from the floor using resilient mounts. These isolation devices are low pass filters which allow the...

    Theos & Disappointing Bass Response

I use a REL t9, purchased 2nd hand to go with my pair of Theos. Works fine for me.

Which is better: Purity or Theo

Agreed, I use a Lyngdorf TDAi170, which works so much better than the highly rated 28 w/channel 300B valve amp I had before. And room correction is essential in my view.

Which is better: Purity or Theo

"a review that reckoned that the one bass driver in the Theos isn't well co-ordinated and tends to lag" - I do not recognise that at all. Once run in they are very good, but as you are looking to buy 2nd hand, then you will have avoided the run in period.

Which is better: Purity or Theo

The spec. for the Theos quotes 43Hz as the lower limit so, as you might expect, a sub does make an audible difference. I have had mine for 9 years now, and whilst they sounded good by themselves, they really did benefit from the addition of a REL t9 sub. jda99

BOTW P&P ECO 15-16V MKII - After Market Adaptor

Hello, I joined this forum specifically to see what user experience there was in using linear power supplies, such as the SBooster products, to charge the panels. Because as already noted, there do not seem to be any reviews out there. Peter/Northy, have either of you taken this any further...

    Hello from the Midlands, UK

Hello, I have a pair of Theos speakers, which I bought around 7 years ago. The initial "running in" was painful, but I am now committed to panels, and so far have not felt the urge to tinker/modify them - well, with the exception of getting a REL sub to provide the lowest octave. Oh, and also...
