I use a pair of Purities as my computer speakers. Even though the set up is FAR less than ideal because of the room configuration, and the sound is coming straight out of my computer with no extra DAC or anything, I think it sounds really good.

I wonder if there is anything Martin Logan could do (paint or whatever) to make the stator/airframe glossy to match the piano black speaker case without compromising sound quality?

I currently have my Spires in a room that is about 10x11 and I'm happy with the sound. I'm not saying it couldn't be better, but unless you are a huge audiophile I wouldn't avoid choosing a home you like because it doesn't have a big enough listening room.

Rumored to ring in at around $1000. If true, I wonder if it will be worth it. It's not all that much by audiophile gear standards, but people seemed to think pretty highly of the 83 as it was, and presumably the 93 will be better than the 83 was.

I'm assuming most people still using the models in this post haven't given Martin Logan much (if any) money in a very long time. They're probably at least as likely to buy new Martin Logans because their old ones can no longer be serviced than they would be otherwise.
