I have modified CLX with a pair of Descent I c/w CLX filters to match the low frequency roll off. I'm very happy with my set up but am sure that a pair of BF212 would be even better. A friend has CLX and uses a pair of JL Audio F212 with his, very impressive. Meanwhile, enjoy the music

I've seen this discussed many times but have yet to see anyone who has implemented an active cross over on the CLX. Personally I am using mono blocks most of the time (ARC Classic 150).

I have a pair of Descent I with the add-on CLX low pass filter module that helps to integrate the subs with the low frequency roll off of the CLX, No complaints from me. The newer BF c/w room correction (PBK) and also the low pass filter module. You will be just fine.
