@christopherf the X-5 is a big thumbs up. I have a pair of 15a so the 13a should be great.

@Paul172 I am using a Michi X-5 with a pair of 15a and cannot imagine the speakers sounding any better. The M8 will be icing on the top.

I am finally official. This is still work in progress. I just got a pair of Renaissance ESL 15A in my man cave, that includes some gym equipment. A fresh water aquarium will soon sit between the speakers. I was going to go budget on the amp, because the speakers were so darn expensive...

I looked at Anthem and Emotiva and the value you are getting in unbeatable. But I decided that my new 15a speakers deserve something a bit higher end. So I have a Rotel Michi X5. One thing I will looking at was the weight of the amplifier, which indicates the size of magnetics and heat sink...

Thank you for the link. It is gold plated terminals. So best to use gold plated spades. The problem with different materials is over time (years) you get galvanic corrosion, which adds a bit of impedance.

Brandon, I agree with you. What is the material of 15a terminals? The spade plating material should match those to avoid galvanic corrosion.

I have the Renaissance 15a on order. I want to match the plating of the spades I am getting with the material used on the terminals of the speaker. Any thoughts recommendations? The Best Buy / Magnolia team is suggesting Audioquest 500 series with silver.

@Tmort I am going to buy the Anthems. Are you using a pre-amp? I am just using Sonos so can I just use the RCA inputs into the Anthems?
