Hi would it make sense to put side surround speaker ( martin logan of course) about 3 ft behind the listening seat?

They would be something like helos 100.

Would they match with my vantage and passage?

Otherwise, the only other place to put side surround speaker would be ...on the side, ticket or vignette.

side surrounds should be 110degrees from front. that would be about 1 foot behind you in an 11' wide room.

I just installed 100's for side and rear in our new living room mated with Electromotions for TV/movies. I am using a Logos I had in the previous system.

I think you will be fine with your location the 100's will put our a large amount of good quality sound. I have not noticed any problem with them blending with my equipment. Though I have not heard your speakers I would think it would be fine.

The room is 17 ft wide. I might be not so far from 110 degrees.

I wonder how close they are from the vantage. Maybe someone here known.
