Steinway / Lyngdorf Model D audio system

This is not an audiophile review (obviously), it's from the Sydney Morning Herald, but it looks interesting all the same.

I guess they're following Bösendorfer with their speaker system (which hasn't been too successful if I'm right)??

Lovely integrated system.

Makes good use of the woodworking and finish facilities at Steinway (underused due to the piano retail market being in decline for >30years).
These speakers truly have a pedigreed 'piano black' finish

The rest of the system is essentially the latest iterations of the legendary TacT/Lyngdorf room correction systems and digital amplification chains (remember the TacT Millenium?) in nicer boxes.

The full integration of speaker and amplification / room correction follows the ideal path of vertically integrating all the important components of an audio system (preamp/amp/speaker/room interface).

Should sound really good based on past history of these manufacturers. I’d love to see / hear a set in a good room.
