Stage X

My older Stage needed a new power supply. I took the opportunity to trade in the older stage for the stage x.

The Stage X is a step up from the Stage in terms of over all presence in my system and a better match for my Montis. Both low and high end are improved. I suspect the larger sound I am hearing is not only due to the tweeter but also to an improved and better crossover.

How did ML work the trade in?
My Stage has less than 100 hours on it. Perhaps a better trade in. Just wishing!

I did the trade with IQ home theater. My Stage was two years old.

We negotiated both a price for the Stage and the X.


The Stage is a good speaker. The X is better, especially with my Montis.
Center speakers are very difficult. I think best route is an accoustic ally transparent screen with a full electrostat behind it.

Glad to hear it worked out to get a good trade-in deal. that's why patronizing a good dealer is worth it in the long-run.
