Descent I or Descent using XLR LFE ?

I am looking for a musical sub that will be integrated with a DEQX using the subs XLR LFE input. With this configuration, is there any difference in performance between the Descent I and Descent models? If so, how significant would it be for a crossover point of @ 40Hz? I will not be running it any higher, possible lower.

The DEQX has speaker and room correction in addition to being a 3-way stereo electronic crossover.
