    a change from ml.

hi, the tempo pares very well with tube amps, imo, more so than solid state. they can be a bit bright at the top end with solid state so i would avoid and go valve. i havnt heard the ap's with cary or rogue audio, so cant comment, but they sound fantastic with tube technology, icon, and the...

    a change from ml.

be in for a shock, the tempo's are imo, a much better speaker in all areas than the vista. if i had the money, i would opt for the kronos, superb, and again imo, the best speaker on the planet! still hanker after some summits tho! :)

    When Is Good Enough, Enough?

when you know that you cant improve unless you spend 10 times on what you have, and that you really get into the music. too many people listen to the equipment and not the music. i say as long as your happy and the sound is right, then the system is right. :)

ampli for Martin Logan Quest z

the lk280's are not a mono design, but are stereo. i'm using an lk1 pre with a dirak. the lk1 has a superb mc phono as standard, and as they are quite old now, you can pick an lk1 up for a song. if you do get the 240's, a good synergetic match will be the kairn pre with the brilliant psu. :)

ampli for Martin Logan Quest z

naim amps are totally different in sound than linn. naims sound bright, harsh and thin in comparison. linn tronics are far more real, and warm in the presentation. lk240's are great mono amps, they will drive ml's far far, far better than naims 250, 135's, or any other naim power amp. (i know...

ampli for Martin Logan Quest z

hi, i previously used a naim set up, and bought some ml's and the naims didnt touch the driveability of them, so they were promptly disposed of. i've tried a few valve amps (the tube technology unisis ((30wpc)), and the icon audio sterio 40i classic ((40 wpc))) and they sounded great. i...

    Q: Bi-Amping

i'm bi-amping my aerius i with 2xlinn lk280. not tried running a single 280 tho', as bi-amping the ml's sound great already, and, as i understand, having 2 power amps really grips the dynamics of the speakers.
