So why the switch?

The distance measurements are probably off in Audyssey for the L and R channels due to placement of the speakers in the room (ESLs seem to confuse Audyssey at times). Try making these two measurements equal and see if the image shifts to the center.

Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a shot and see how it sounds after some testing. I'm also using Script i for wide channels and feel they might become redundant when the EFX are positioned at 90 degrees, we'll see.

If you have both you should be able to clearly tell which one you prefer from simple A/B testing...

The ElectroMotion IC will be a better timbre match for your ESL and C2 speakers. You'll notice it when sounds are panning around the room that they keep the same "voice" throughout the entire system. They will provide a more seamless blend mostly due to the ribbon tweeter.

Any technique for setting them as surrounds? Should you still try to listen to the inner third of the panel or just point them straight since we are dealing with multiple seating positions?

They've had those and the old Motion 10 and 12s for a long time now.

Did some more testing and found that removing my sidewall treatments really opened up the speakers. Before removing them they had a bit of a constrained sound and after removal the soundstage has become wider and more lifelike. Has anyone else had similar results? I know this is very room...

The EFX really need some room to breathe in order to get that signature sound found on the other floor standing ESL speakers but as you can see that is nearly impossible to do due to their design of being wall mounted so close to the wall. If you were to place the EFX to the sides of the screen...

Yes, I'm currently going through and re-doing all my panels from 2" to 4" thickness and have noticed a huge improvement in mid-bass and bass in general. 2" panels don't seem to really do anything at all when it comes to stuff under 500hz or so.

How about mounting the Stage vertically? I have been thinking of doing this with my Motif X since I feel the horizontal center channel is a flawed design in itself.

I'm pretty open with placement and do enjoy the look of the Depth i more than the new subs... also if one has XT32 will PBK make any difference? Only thing I'm concerned about is the built-in EQ and extra output
