Hello all, Recently bought a pair of CLS II's not really knowing too much detail or history of these speaker. After getting them home and really tearing into them did I see what I have. The electronic boxes are IIz's that were built in 2000. The panels however are II's from 1990...

Did some more digging and found the serial no decoder thread. According to that these where made in August of 2000 and where the first two units made. What i don't understand is the Z after the numbers. Am I to assume these are indeed CLS IIZ's?

Hello from Grosse Pointe Blank MI. Just joined today so I can find out all there is to know about the famed CLS II speakers. Lets start with this box. I was checking as much as I could but haven't found one quite like it. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
