How to properly measure rake angle?

I removed the feet and use Townshend isolation bars (with every speaker and sub I have) and those can be adjusted. Not sure if it was exactly 90 degrees but looks almost vertical from the side - I preferred the original angle so now have both bars (and the speakers on them) horizontally balanced.

How to properly measure rake angle?

Hello people, I want to set my electromotions vertically (90 degrees angle to the floor) as I understand it improved the sound. My problem is how to measure the angle? With ,y older speakers I just place a level on top because they had a flat surface on top of the cabinet.. but these don't...

Help with room placement - ML + SUB

Hello People, I've now followed the manuals 'extra tweak' method of placing the speakers in the middle of the room (almost - it's certainly 'mid-field placement' - and it sounds good but not a huge difference compared to the previous placement. I saw an ML video where they say they can be...

    Electromotions maintenance?

Hello chaps, I'm a proud new owner of a pair of Electromotions and love them. I have a few questions about maintenance - how often would I need to vacuum the panels? And how do I know it's time? Will I hear it? Also, what with the sunlight? If I have a glass window (double glazed) through...

Help with room placement - ML + SUB

Thanks, Does this mean the distance (1.5m) is too close? Also what effect does the rake angle of the speakers have? I noticed the bigger speakers in the range are effectively vertical? Would it improve the sound if I set mine up like that? thank you!

Hello guys, thanks for the great advice! It's not totally feasible to rotate the system as suggested (my SO has some issues with this idea..). For the moment I'd like to optimize the placement as it is. I must say the speakers sound stunning as they are, I'm going through music I know by...

Help with room placement - ML + SUB

Hello, I'm new to ML, just got my pair of EelctroMotions and I'm loving them. Rest of the system is: Jriver (on RPI) -> Schiit Yggy DAC -> ATI6002 amp -> ML electromotion (also using a REL S/3 sub - connected directly to the DAC. I'd love to get some advice on how to organize my listening...

Thanks Mate, I already have those siesmic isolation bars so I might as well use them - in fact I did and it greatly improved the EM's bass definition - my room has an old wooden floor with cavities bellow it - it's like a giant guitar!

Electromotion ESL- is it possible to remove the feet/spikes?

Hello, New owner here - my Electromotion are just breaking in. I wonder if I can completely remove the feet spikes form the speakers? I'd like to use these: http://www.townshendaudio.com/hi-fi-home-cinema-equipment-vibration-isolation/seismic-isolation-bars-for-speakers-subwoofers/ Had great...
