Gordon I have to say that these are some of the trickiest speakers to set up I have ever owned. Toe-in changes of one inch make worlds of difference in the imaging and distance out into the room really affects bass. But as you said it changes with every recording somewhat. I'm still wondering...

I had to move the speakers for some workers to come through. It was tough finding the sweet spot again so I came back to this thread. I found that less toe in sounded better and created a larger soundstage. But it varies among sources which I would expect anyway. Trial and error is what its all...

What about a Bryston 4B-SSt2 guys? I have been offered one new in my name born and hand made for me at a great price 3200 bucks. The interconnects alone are almost six hundred... Still a bit expensive but it would be the last word. Is it overkill here or pure joy? nervous now... Thank You!

Almost had one right after it was recommended to me someone bought it out from under me. Nice deal on an 8080ST 675 bucks! The Parasound A21 is going for about 1400 in mint used condiditon and the P3 preamp for around 500. I did notice that but will keep my eyes open for the Aragon. ssshh :cool:

They Preface are very revealing and I would say yes they have a bright high end but not overbearing. It's part of what I am going through right now trying to find an amp that will not have a shrill sound but is very clear and warm with alot of headroom. Any distortion or high end transients...
