Class-D Amps with Martin Logan speakers?

Out of curiosity, which D-Class amps are you using? Rotel? Wyred4sound? Also, do you happen to know how the new RMB-1565 compares to the older RMB-1077? Thanks!

Class-D Amps with Martin Logan speakers?

If you remember my older posts about running a pair of Martin Logan vantages off my Onkyo receiver then you'll know this post has been long in coming... ;) Anyway, I'm looking for a good 2-channel or 5-channel outboard amp to replace the internal amps of my Onkyo 705 which has served me well...

Appropriate Center/Surrounds for Vantages & smaller space

I would agree, except that I just blew $3k on used Vantages, and can't really imagine spending another $2k on just one center channel! Maybe a bit later... In the mean time I may run phantom or using my existing center until I sell it.

Appropriate Center/Surrounds for Vantages & smaller space

Hi- I've found somewhat useful posts around ML center and surround channels, but have some specific questions: 1) Is there really a big enough difference between the Matinee and the Motif center channels that warrants their difference in price? 2) What about using the Fresco as a center...

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

I'm also looking at the DefTech Mythos 4 or 5 ( http://www.definitivetech.com/Products/products.aspx?path=Floor-Standing%20Speakers&productid=Mythos%20Five ) Honestly, though, for that side of the room and the fact that I'm overwhelming the space with a pair of Vantages, we'll want something...

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

I'm thinking maybe a pair of these for surrounds: http://www.monitoraudiousa.com/product.php?application=&range=4&product=29&area=5 simple, cheap, elegant.

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

I may actually do something like this. Coincidentally, my wife has some cloth/woven art that we haven't found a place to hang up yet.. looks like I found a good place for them. I believe i can conceal foam absorption panels behind them (since the cloth is mostly acoustically transparent like...

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

Decided! I'm in the process of purchasing a pair of Vantages now. :D Rather than buying something I'll be reselling in a few years, I decided to go all the way and slowly work into the right space / amplification / etc, all the while enjoying better sound. Thanks to everyone for your help...

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

I took my wife down to see/listen to all the speaker choices. I decided that I either want to go practical (small, inexpensive) and upgrade a few years down the road or go guns blazing all the way. The other speakers, including the Purity and Source, were still just comprimises, much more...

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

Unfortunately, the space is as you guessed a shared family room / living room space. Long term, I plan to have a dedicated theather room that will have all the right space and treatements, but not until we move into a bigger house. :-) The other half of the room behind the couch is open space...

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

thanks for everyone's informative replies. I have what i need and a plan for the future with regards to amplification. here's the latest: I re-auditioned the purities vs. the vantages at a different magnolia hi-fi location. these were better setup, and I convinced the guy to set the bass...

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

I agree, I'm probably best off with the Vantage. I also have no way of auditioning the Vista in person (unless I buy new, with the option of returning). This also seems like the easiest of the set (aside from the Purities) to drive with my current receiver. With regards to bi-amp / bi-wire...

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

it's actually 100 watts per channel, 200 combined. How do I "bridge" the channels? Right now I run 2 sets of cables to each of my front speakers, which have 2 sets of binding posts. Would I do the same with the Vantage? Would this feed all 200 watts to the speaker?

    Receiver power enough? ML Vantage/Vista/Source

Hello- Although i've searched for this answer in the forums, I am new here so if I missed a similar post, my apologies. Anyway, I am *very* excited about finally buying a pair of ML speakers (something i've been hoping to do for a long time!) and i want to do it right, but *have* to stay in...
