    Auditioned the CLX's - Finally

Great write up JFM... There's no question that Martin Logan have built something quite special with the CLX. One thing that interested me - looking at your pics - the side walls appear quite close to the CLX's. In my own experience I have found that panels, especially, work best on the long...

    Summits Take a Hike

I've noticed considrable creep with my Prodigys - but over a more extended period of time: the floor positions are not marked, so it was only when I finally noticed, visually, that there was something out of line that I started to investigate. My speakers are spiked and sit on a hard, stone...

    Auditioned the CLX's - Finally

Finally, finally managed to get to see and hear the CLX. I know that much has been written here already on this speaker - and it was great to read Tonepub's latest review just published. So in a way I have to confess I can't add a lot to what has been said... I reviewed an anniversary pair...

    the CLX review is here....

Thanks for posting the review - really excellent. After months of reading about the CLX, mainly on this site I finally managed to audition a pair last week whilst on vacation in London. This was an anniversary pair: an interesting comment by the dealer was that the aluminium frame provides...

    New CLX Owner

Auditioning the CLX this month Sounds like an awesome system. As an FYI - I've been running Krell and Martin Logan together for around 6 years and I love the music I get. I'm driving Prodigy's with a 700cx and an Evolution 2 / Evolution 505 set up... For later this month I have finally managed...

    Speaker cables for Odysseys

You could also add Transparent to your short list - at least audition them if you can. I use them with Prodigy's and have been very happy. Several dealers I have known over the past few years have independently recommended Transparent as a good match with ML's - but ultimately it comes down to...

    Power Handling of ML's

Why are the CLX's rated as having a power handling capacity of 225 watts? Why not 200 watts, or 250 watts: why 225 watts exactly? Does this really mean anything? I drive Prodigy's with an amp capable of at least 700 watts per channel into an 8 ohm load and they have never complained - quite the...

What would you most like to see in the next generation of MLs?

In my opinion it's time ML put out a true, full range, no compromise dream system along the lines of the E2 but a little more real world in size and cheaper!! The CLX is a step in the right direction, but it doesn't go far enough IMO (even though I haven't heard it yet)...

TomDac's review of the MartinLogan CLX

Tom - being very recently 'back' to the site, I had completely missed your review of the CLX: really excellent coverage and great photo's. I will definitely have to see these for real and hear them for myself. In Kuwait that's impossible - so it will have to wait for a trip to London which I...

Heading to listen to the CLX in Seattle !

Thanks for posting this write up - there will be a lot of envious people out there (including me!)....you realise that you may have written & published the world's first review of this new ML masterpiece? From your write up they sound very impressive and I can't wait to hear them for myself...

    System #257 (Prodigy, Descent)

The listening position Firstly - serious thanks to everyone your the comments on the system.... Attached is an image of the listening seat / position. It also shows the rear wall which is lined with books and cd's (unfortunately the picture is so compressed that the quality isn't great - the...

    System #257 (Prodigy, Descent)

Thanks Tom - it has been a long time (too long), but my interest in music and the hobby has thankfully remained as strong as ever (and just about kept me sane)....looking forward to participating in this forum again.....

    Another newbie....

I have to confess that I've been a member of the ML Club in the past, before the new site...Now, several listening rooms, another country and 4 years later and I'm glad to be back... It's obvious that a lot of great work has been done to the site in the time I've been away - it's really state...
