    Panel horizontal tension

    This thread is for discussion regarding my "controversial" statement that the ML curved panels don't have much horizontal tension in the diaphragm. Maybe after the moderators move some posts over, I will add more explanation and reply to certain points.

    These are a set of 10+ year old Scenarios. I just decided to poke at the membranes with a thin plastic stick. It seems they deflect easily, e.g. 1+mm with very little force. Hard to quantify, but it feels like "just enough to keep things from wrinkling, but not taut or bouncy". From reading...

    WHY is a bigger panel better?

    The listening reviews generally confirm this, but is there a technical reason why this is so? There are plenty of nearly-point-source satellite/sub systems that sound very good too.

    Worthy upgrade to Scenarios?

    Hello folks, I have owned a pair of Scenarios for a few years now. I like the speakers a lot for their clarity and near-field listening (i.e. they sound really good when I have my ear right up to the speaker), but I never got the imaging or room-filling properties of these speakers to work...
