    Will this sound good?

You could place them more or less where the plants are on the photo, I think it would work, but its a huge room. What I cant see work is the tv, I wouldnt have it there, its way too high I think. I would maybe try to see how it would work if I put the tv where the picture is hanging, but a bit...

New used pair of Aeon I - PLEASE Your opinions on Amp Selection - McCormack DNA .5

Just look at the specs for Theos and send a mail to Emotiva and ask them maybe?

New used pair of Aeon I - PLEASE Your opinions on Amp Selection - McCormack DNA .5

The reason the amp goes into protection mode is the speakers impedance at 1,3 (or so) ohms at 20.000 hz. Lesser amps will go into protection already after a couple of watts out. Have to admit I thought the Emotiva was more stble, maybe its good with newer ML models. The amp must be stable, thats...

New used pair of Aeon I - PLEASE Your opinions on Amp Selection - McCormack DNA .5

Your Pioneer is a digital amp? I tried a Cary digital amp for my Aeon I, only took me 1 second to decide it didnt work, delivered it back to the shop. The sound was dull, no treble, terrible. The McCormack might do the trick, most important is your power amps input sensitivity, that MUST match...

    New to me Aeon's

If you press the cone ever so gently a little bit inwards, and you dont hear a noise the are fine. Well, you can measure the panels you have on the speaker, or what? Why do you doubt? 37" might be effective radiating area, and 40 5/4 is the entire panel.

    Sequel II panels headed south

This might help, use a rubber hammer and tap gently, its real easy. http://www.martinloganowners.com/forum/showthread.php?12584-Martin-Logan-Shower-Cleaning-PDF

Vacuuming Requests, a few basic questions.

Its not the dust thats a problem for electrostaticic speakers really, its the dirt, grease etc. The dust will come off when you play music, but the residue from polution, fire places, smoke etc etc will stick like glue and cannot be vacuumed away. Its a good idea to wash the panels every year or...

anyone using Bryston Amps with your MLs?

Its not in your price range but I have used a Bryston B-100 SST DA with my Aeon I for 6 years now, never had the urge to change. The new SST squared amps are awesome.

Looking for link to a fix...

Look at the link I gave you, post 4 where he puts the speaker on the table. There you see the wires and if you leave the panel as shown on the picture you should be able to measure on the wires with a multimeter where the are attached to the speaker itself. You dont have to totally remove the...

Looking for link to a fix...

Did you check the wires? You can probably also measure on the pluss and minus wire to see if they get charge. Maybe I am to used to the vibrant clear sound from ML, I went to listen to a relatively expensive B&W speaker some time ago, huge disappointment, tiny tiny soundfield, closed in and...

    Question about Bi Amping Requests

No Spike, apologies, I read you post wrong, my bad... But, I wouldnt do that personally, I would use one channel to drive the whole speaker and leave the other channel with nothing to do.

Which subwoofer for the Aerius MkI?

Dont know the price in Italy, but depending on your room size I would suggest the REL T5, if you have quite a big room 2 smaller, less expensive subs would be better than one more expensive.

    Question about Bi Amping Requests

I think you got it wrong Spike. Vertical biamp is when one amplifier drives one speaker, and the other amp drives the other one. Vertical is superior to Horizontal. This way the amp also pumps out more power since the power supply only does one channel. Stereophile tested, a long time ago, for...

    Question about Bi Amping Requests

I am against biamping with different amplifiers, but if you do, make sure borh amplifiers have the same gain..... With a Krell 250 I wouldnt biamp at all.

    Best Amps to bi-amp SL3's on a budget ???

Agreed, unless you have amplifiers with identical pain level matching will be a pain. Go for a single amp, the Krell should do fine yes, or maybe look to Parasound NewClassic series or Emotiva.

http://www.martinloganowners.com/forum/showthread.php?6755-Repanelling-Vistas&highlight=panels Yeah, sounds like there is no power to the panel.

Which speakers you have? If its the older models with the wood rails you take a rubber hammer and gently tap the rail up a bit on the side where you see the little cover behind the stator on the bass enclosure, when you have tapped the rail up a bit you will see the wires that attach to the...

solved problem with "boomy " bass in my Sl3

I use hockey pucks to tilt the speaker forward. SD Feet are famous, and especially essential with Carlsson vintage speakers, OA50, and OA52 for instance but they can be used for all kinds of equipment, turntables also. Another brand is Tema Isolator, also very effective.

    Ethos and subwoofers

It all depends on your room, listening position etc. You cant just trust a speakers specs and say it goes plenty deep, in some rooms and with some placement issues you wont even hear low bass, except if you position yourself in the corner of the room. Whether or not you have a good room is not...

    Pure Electrostatics?

Magnepan had, or have, dont know, small speakers intended for such a setup. Would recommend you go for a headphone setup, Stax Signature II system or something like that, you will never find speakers that sound that good, no matter the price. If your theory about magnetic interference hold water...
