I have a sunfire signature grand. Also lot of power. However the 20.7 uses a different internal crossover than the 20.1. I’ve heard both versions -and liked them both. If I do recall the .1 - I think the.7 gets the image size better and seems to integrate the ribbon with the mids/bass better...

Agree w jlasher. The directstream is great. No reason to pay sticker for it. Ask for a deal by calling them.

Do you have a sub with your ascents? I find the descent works great with them. I almost think with an added sub the price performance ratio is off the charts.

Yah. Tom gives good advice. Look at them. Listen to them. I’ve had my odyssey’s for around 15 years? No issues and sound great. If it’s local shouldn’t be an issue. What would you be powering them with?

Are you transporting - or is a shipper handling that? My brother recently moved his ascents. He bought a big chunk of 4” or 6” thick foam for each and laid them out on them. Successful transport. I can find a pic if you want it

I think you are going to have a hard time having a receiver drive 5 stats like that sunfire did. Just my opinion. I don’t have any experience w the ultimate receiver but know the separates well. Did you try contacting bob carver? Or do you just want to move on?

Thanks guys. No he doesn’t have any wrap or box. I had boxes for my Odyssey’s and I showed the guys the boxes and said ‘whatever you do - don’t screw these up’. Good idea on the wrap though. I almost think I’d go in the back and ride with them. Maybe keep them on their feet to prevent more...
