Pioneer 1522 with Motion 12 front

In setup, have you selected the speakers to be large? Have you selected there is no subwoofer? There should be no crossover if things are selected properly. Hope that helps...

    AVR for my setup..

I will offer a somewhat different opinion... I have an Onkyo tx-nr809 and use it with a Motion based system. 135 watts per channel and it is over 40 lbs in weight. It is all you would need for your system IMO. The new ones are out now, and the comparable model is the tx-nr818. Similar specs...

    Speaker Stands for Motion 4

I also wanted to fix the speaker to the stand, not set it on the top. I used Sanus EF Sat stands. I think I got them cheapest at NewEgg. What you are looking at could be made to work also I think. I believe the EF is a little more solid. The Motion 4s are 6 lbs, but the weight is hanging...

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

The Motion 10 and 12 are discounted because they are discontinued. The centers not so because they have not been discontinued. If you have the room, you might consider 2 motion 10 tight left and right of your tv, acting as center channel. I suspect it would be very good.

    Weak Dialogue

Today's receivers have many settings and calibrations and are very complex. You have to spend some time getting to understand how they work to get the best sound that you can. Here are some areas to look at: - have you run the calibration program carefully? Repeated it if you didn't get good...

    Want help!! New owner here.

Is there anywhere you can hear the 8? If so take your yamaha there and compare. The other option is order one with a return policy and try it in your home. It is good to have the same "voice" on the 3 fronts. Are you sure you have the levels matched on all speakers? I raised the level on my...

    Motion 4 stands ?

There is a threaded hole, ¼ - 20, thread I believe, that takes the shoulder bolt that fits into the wall mount. I made use of that hole to mount my 4s to a Sanus EF Sat stand. I’m not crazy about using a platform on the stand and just sitting the speaker on the platform. So, I used a piece of...

    Want help!! New owner here.

Yes, I have the Motion 4s as front l/r and the 8 as the center. I also use a subwoofer to supplement music and provide lfe with TV and movies. I found the sound to be vastly better than things I had before. The "folded motion" tweeter is ML's take on a design developed by Heil that is now...

    Want help!! New owner here.

I can tell you that the Motion 8 mates very well with the 4s. I have never heard the 6, but I'd be surprised if it was as good. The 6 would be more appropriate with a pair of 2s I would think. I would think the emc2 would be a consideration if you thought you might someday upgrade l/r to...

    ML: Music vs Home Theater

Sorry for maybe muddling up your thread, but my situation is so close to yours that I thought maybe it could help.... Your room and setup is beautiful, by the way. In my room, one corner is the only place for the TV that is reasonably possible, and if I put floor standing speakers 4-5 feet...

    ML: Music vs Home Theater

I'm considering EFX speakers plus a subwoofer for front L/R. They are in the ESL line. I know they are best at surrounds, but do you folks think something like Electromotions would really be better? The on-wall units, tilted away from the wall would work in our corner location where floor...
