    I lost a Buddy today

There was a touching tribute by Pat Huges, the Cubs radio play-by-play (WGN 720 AM) and a moment of silence during the opening day festivities at Wrigley Field.

Surf- The videos are well worth the approximately 90 minutes of viewing time. Thank you for pointing people towards my blog. The videos were shot and posted by youtube user TheCanadianPublic. The user's bio is as follows: ""The Canadian Public"® will become Canada's first national public...

    System #290 (Spire)

No CD player? Or is that what's hiding behind that copy of Dire Straits - "Love Over Gold?"

CLS I and CLS II sound shaping filter question

With ALL of the Tweeter stores closing and many of the existing Logan dealers being hit hard by the economic conditions it wouldn't surprise me if things at ML are a bit tight. They are everywhere else.

Power Conditioners - are you plugging your ML's in?

. . . and it (nearly) goes without saying that if JUST ONE of your components is plugged straight into the wall (or is hooked up to anything that is plugged straight into the wall) the surge suppressor was a waste of money. The entire Audio/Video system must be isolated electrically from the...

    Brush?

I too think that a brush is probably a bad idea. I would think that there is some possibility that the bristles of the brush might remove some of the conductive material on the Mylar which is obviously a bad thing.

Aragon 8008BB vs Pass Labs X150?

While it isn't the particular Pass Labs amp you were asking about I've been using a Threshold Stasis S550e (also a Nelson Pass design) with my CLS's for many years and can confirm that NP designed amps work well with Logans.

Cover or unplug ML's while not in use?

I always unplug my CLS's when not in use, but that's because they are pre-automatic turn off circuit and having ML add them is a couple hundred bucks. I don't cover mine because I vacuum them about 1 a month anyway.

Which audio reviewers do love/ hate?

I've heard many products reviewed by John Atkinson and Wes Phillips and not only do I find their descriptions to have a lot of over lap with what I hear, their conclusions also match my tastes. JA's, "just the facts Ma'm" approach is refreshingly free of overblown hyperbole. Wes also seems...

    Patrica Barber, Spring 2009

What she can't be in Poland and Chicago on the same night? Hello, what about the time difference. ;) Too bad, I'll have to meet up with you guys another time

    Patrica Barber, Spring 2009

Other than April 6th March 30th is the only date that would work for me because of work commitments. If anyone lives in the North West Suburbs (I live in Schaumburg) would they be interested in car pooling?

    NHT throwing in the towel!

Stereophile's Jason Victor Serinus was able to get Mr. Byrne to elaborate a bit more in this news item ( http://www.stereophile.com/news/nht_takes_a_break/ ). It's like being "on a break" in a relationship or "seeing other people" it isn't officially the end but in reality it usually is. Think...

Oh, ya I forgot to mention that they should be unplugged for quite some time. Thanks for catching the oversight.

Aerius i sound flat, happened to both speakers at the same time

Have you tried vacuuming the panels? When my system starts to sound a bit dull on the top end, dynamics become a bit lacking, a bit slow, and the bass a bit tubby I know it's time. The head of Martin Logan's service department recommends that the electrostatic panels of ALL of their models be...
