I have Motif X with Montis and it works really well. Dialogue is excellent and multichannel music is superb so if Motif X works Stage X should work even better.

One thing that might be worth the try are small hockey pucks under each spike. They don't look too bad and work quite well. Here's another Auralex product I'm using with my subs, works well with Montis too...

The great thing about Montis is that it will sound great even just 2.5 feet from the front wall and you can fine-tune the sound with toe-in. You can also adjust the bass to your liking. Here are some very good videos from Martin Logan that are quite helpful regarding the placement...
