Okay Bruce that's great, but I need a front woofer not a back woofer.
Oh my friend I have information for you too.
I thought since it had an aluminum cone that it might be the same as the front woofer. It is not and the front woofer is more money than the rear woofer. But not $775, as I recall...
It's time for an update to this thread.
And the news is good!
The bad news for me was that I toasted one of my rear woofers. It still worked but it rattled. I contacted MartinLogan support and they were extremely helpful.
Of course the woofers that they had made for them and have inventoried...
And for these 4 models - Ascent, Ascent i, Odyssey, and Prodigy

Final thought on ticking-popping-arching caused by panel slippage
Guys and gals.
Once I figured out the cause of the problem and fixed. ML sent me a pdf of their fix, copyright 2008. They had obviously been aware of the problem with the four models listed in the pdf , Ascent, Ascent i...
Solved it!
Oh the sweet sounds of a Prodigy panel with all of the passive crossover components bypassed, and externally crossover with a digital active crossover. And powered by 100 W of triode 6SN7's and EL 34’s.
I have to admit there were a couple of Homer Simpson doh moments.
I have to...

Hi guys,
I obviously need help.
One of my Prodigy panels has a continuous ticking sound when charged whether or not an amp is connected. The other panel, on the same AC source, is silent.
I have changed to a different AC source. However have the same ticking sound.
Is it likely that a...
Now 70 and have turned Prodigy into "active" speakers with digital crossover. Passive components of ML original crossover bypassed. 100 watt mono block tubes to each panel. 1500 watt mono block SS to the woofers
Homer,
To each his own.
My own is zeros.
I've had my prodigy for almost 10 years now. In the beginning I use some naked zeros and made a nice improvement in my system. As I continue to improve other portions of the system the zeros actually got in the way of maximum performance. So I sold...
Malcasine,
What M15 and Tosh said, and............... my 2 cents. OK 3 cents based on 7 years experience with Prodigy "in a room too small for them to sound good ".
First my disclaimer; I listened in the extreme nearfield. Growing up I was in multiple vocal groups, choirs, pop rock...
