    Rogue Audio Preamp

My opinion of the SLP-98 differs from Joey's. I've had them both in my house for an audition, and the 99 came out on top. This could be a simple case of synergy, the 99 was just a better match to the Stereo 90 then the SLP-98. The 99 was much more dynamic and had a bigger and more fuller...

    Rogue Audio Preamp

Hi Jerry, I power my Vantages with Rogue's 99/90 pre/power combination, I'm pretty much biased ;) , but I can tell you that I'm extremely happy with this combination. I've tried a few preamps to power the 90, and the 99 came out on top. The sound is big, 3 dimensional and detail extraction is...

    Speaker positioning (Vantage)

Update OK guys, I played a bit with my speakers positioning, now the speaker-to-speaker distance is ~8ft and the distance from the speakers triangle base to my listening position is ~7.5ft. I tilted my speakers panel to be almost vertical, and I toed them in according to the ML rule of thumb...

    Speaker positioning (Vantage)

That's interesting, how does this effect the sound ? A friend of mine who owns the Ascents says that tilting the panel to be completely vertical will cause an improvement. I wonder what kind of improvement ?

    Speaker positioning (Vantage)

Thanks ! Regarding the equilateral triangle, I've talked to Jim Power and he said that unlike standard dynamic speakers, with MLs the distance from the speakers triangle base to the listening position should be further away than the distance between the speakers (for example: distance between...

    Speaker positioning (Vantage)

Hi all, Currently my vantages are placed ~7ft from each other, ~3.5ft from the front wall and my listening position is ~8ft from the speakers. Unfortunately, I cannot move the speakers further back from the front wall (a room limitation). But, I have some breathing space between the speakers...

    System #146 (Vantage)

If you'll take a closer look you'll see that I have the same phenomenon on my vantages. Because your pictures were not taken at daylight, your so called "lines" seem darker. Don't worry, be happy ;) ! If they sound good (aaahemm, I meant AMAZING) then, IMHO, you shouldn't touch them.

    System #146 (Vantage)

They're pretty much brand new, I've vacuumed them once after taking them out of their original packages. Could you send an image of this phenomenon ? Thanks, Axel.

I've just rediscovered my vinyl collection, I find myself flipping side after side and listening non-stop... You should try it ;) .

    System #146 (Vantage)

Hi Robin ! Thanks ! you made me blush ;) ... I listen to mostly classical music (my favorite instrument is the piano - so I have a large collection of classical piano recordings), I also listen to some jazz and classic rock. Regarding room treatments, well, I'm currently very happy with the...

    Tube integrated running hot

Thanks all for your advice and assistance. I mailed Mark from Rogue (I must mention that his response is always super quick), he said that this shouldn't be of any concern to me, either: 1) The MLs are pushing the Rogue harder - which is understandable due to their dip at high frequencies. 2)...
