my $.02
you know...the way i see it is this...my dog...was always fooled by dogs on the 'screen' in home theatre with ML's, if its good enough to fool a dogs hearing..its MORE than enough for me :) *she would try to 'converse' with the dogs on the screen *1st time was the RCA intro with all...
hmm..im just curious...when i bought my Aerius I's, it took me almost 2 weeks of breaking them in to get a PROPER sound and as well proper positioning of my speaker...so..do the reviewers do this as well? Cause i remember clear as day the massive difference from the speaker before it was...
Hi there, and welcome to the forum. I havent been here in a while..been REALLY busy elsewhere :) but one thing i learned about my Aerius I's is that i put the spikes on *A definate MUST* but then i put them on a cutting board. on the rug as well. made a huge difference. one of those synthetic...
hehe...thats kinda the same thing that would happen...and i guess i had the perfect setting..cause my dog would stand up on her back legs...and look at the screen....sometimes whining...barking...but that was during the RCA intro with all the dogs....was quite funny to watch :D
you use winblamp for FLACs? ewww...try out foobar2000...MUCH better quality playback...winblamp i always find so muffled :P
they MAY be popular..but that doesnt mean they know what they are doing :P
it was the Anthem...:P
ok..well..this is VERY interesting..and ive already sent an email to sonic foundaries...my Anthem MCA 2 was the problem..the left channel is dying AGAIN*already sent it in for warranty for the left channel about 1-2 years ago* :P that was the problem...so...i have my ML's...
ok..update...
well..got home from work..and decided to try all the connections..as i was too tired/frusterated last night to do anything with a clear head...so i waited...and i dunno if this happened when i was pulling the stand out or what..but the positive ends were dangling around...glad i...
ok..was just listening to some Harvey Danger on my ML Aerius i's and then my left channel just fizzled out..and now i cant get either of them working..i dunno..got them both unplugged now..gonna let them sit for a bit...i dunno...that didnt sound good at all..and it wasnt overly loud...
ok...I have my pc setup for home theatre...with my ML Aerius I's. i use a Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS. Does anyone else use their ML's for this purpose as well? thru a PC i mean...and what hardware do you use? They didnt have any real answers for me from ML as i inquired there as to what might make...
see..and heres the thing..i find monkey to sound 'richer' and more like the original cd..no matter WHAT the compression ratio...FLAC i find just sounds so...'flat' the highs are gone...the lows are pulled in..and my ML's REALLY show that.
okie dokie.
havent been here in a while so i thought i would post it here..as noone elses seems to have a clue..dunno why i didnt start here..oh well :D
so..anyone else here have a HTPC setup with their ML's? i have Aerius i's and i just cant keep my audio hardware up to date as cheaply as i...
biwired speakers
yeah..ive always wondered if there is enough of a difference to make the purchase..they are quite pricey..for cables anyway...not trying to be thrify or anything..but just not looking to spend money thats not really gonna do anything for me/my setup.
:o
O....M....G...what a hugeass difference!!!
why isnt this 'tip' in the manual??? wow..and to think i tolerated all that muddy sound previously...its like i bought whole new speakers...wheeeee! :D
...added to Aerius i manual....
'the bridge that comes with the speakers, sucks ass, throw it...
comparison suggestion
take a cd that you own, rip it to wav, then encode it in whatever formats you want to try out...id suggest nothing less than lvl 5 compression flac's myself...but im biased :) also...find out what your speakers can do...and the hardware driving them too.
