I'm late here but back to the MGA - my first two cars were MGAs. A '57 RHD followed by a '58 coupe. I loved them. Later I had a ride in an MGA that the owner had installed an XK-E drivetrain. It was a rocket, but legroom was virtually nil. Good times.
I have 13As too. The turn on seems to require a substantial signal to actually turn on. If I have been doing some late night quiet listening when I turn the system off I need to turn the volume up a bit at the next turn on. Not to "10" (or 11 if a Spinal Tap fan) just higher than 1 or 2.
Maybe...
I started with KLH as a graduation present from HS. After that I started on Heathkit, and the Koss Pro4a that hooked me. It has all been down hill (or up depending on how you look at it) from there. It took me a lot of years to get my ML 13s, but well worth the wait.
Welcome aboard Connor!
+1 on the Rose w/ Synology.
I could not be happier. I got tired of returning Auralic, Cocktail Audio etc. I didn't try Aurender because of all the comments on their GUI, which you are stuck with.
Good morning all,
I looked at the M8s a while back, and that warning on the back "4 ohms minimum" gave me pause. Is it probable that the prodigious power makes that a moot point? Would the same hold true for the smaller stereo amp with the same note? At least I'd only have to struggle with 130...
Ha! Congratulations Garrett! I too will turn 70 shortly, but I have to say I'm not all that sure about the wiser part!!!!!
I have reached a conclusion though, and that is that old age begins at 15 years older than whatever my current age happens to be...
