FIXED! Had to ship it back to Jim at ML, but they took care of it in less than a day, and apparently it is already on the way back.

A month with no music! Finally coming to a conclusion. Turns out it was a strange, never before seen issue with the device that manages the input source... either the RCA line level input for the internal amp, or the speaker level inputs that bypass the amp.
