Converting CD Audio to HD

hi Guys,

I have been a member for a year for now but mostly silent . Sounds almost like yesterday I was initially struggling to get the placement correct for my Mosaics - and Joey helped calling all the way from Chicago to Portland (OR). Been really enjoying the Mosaics since then - both for movies and music.

Have a question now. I want to convert my CD audio collection into something that can be stored in a Blueray/ HDD with the highest quality possible. Any ideas about software/ tools for conversion - and what are the pitfalls to avoid?
My main goals are - maintain highest quality and be compatible with most digital devices.

Use one of the lossless options.

I happen to store mine in Apple Lossless.

This should probably be in the other forum, though.

I store mine in Apple Lossless and FLAC - both give equal results, whether ripped with iTunes or EAC. Poorly maintained CDs might give different results.
