Re-finishing Tube Amp Covers

The ventilated covers of my tube monoblocks (purchased used) have lost some of their paint, and there is bare metal showing in places, so I am considering re-finishing them with a spray paint. Any recommendations ? One consideration is that they will be exposed to heat from the tubes.

Bernard, depending on your choice of color, any Hi-temp Automotive Engine paint will be fine.

I use Krylon semi-flat black. It is a perfect match for the industry standard chassis black. So from SAE cases to Marantz cabinet vent screen, it makes them look new. Sand the piece with some 320 grit to break the finish and ensure good adhesion.
