    Default Hand-building triode tubes

    This showed up on Slashdot via Make Magazine. It's a video of a French amateur radio operator who hand-builds his own tubes (!). Here is the link to the video (17 minutes) via Make.

    It's a fantastic video all the way through. (Someone posted it on AA yesterday.) But the best part for me, which sent me rolling on the floor laughing (ROTFL) was right at the end where he gets a finger caught in a machine (it looks like) and starts to laugh hysterically himself!
