My first real exposure to high performance audio was back in 1988 when I walked into an audio shop and heard the CLS for the first time. I was blown away. I couldn’t believe the sound that came from those panels.
I have since owned B&W Matrix 802’s & Matrix 801’s before moving on to ReQuests, SL3s and finally the Ascent I’s. The smaller panel size of the SL3’s and Ascent I’s have always sounded better than the ReQuest’s did in my room.
My room is 15’ x 18’ with a cathedral ceiling that starts at 8’ and rises to 10’ at the peak.
The speakers are placed 36” from the side walls and 60” from the front of the panel to the back wall.
