Don't let the title fool you, this album will not put you to sleep. Far from it actually. This is the stereo reissue of an amazing album by an amazing vocalist. I was made aware of Jimmy Rushing through another website and purchased this album as an introduction. I am glad I did. JR is a vocalist of consummate skill and phrasing. In a nutshell this album swings. The band is tight and the vocalist is excellent. Recorded in the right/left stereo mode with the vocalist dead center this is one for any jazz/blues lover to own. The final track Russian Lullaby is worth the price of admission by itself. The original was released in both mono and stereo versions. As good as the reissue is, the mono original may be the one to own.
