I want to say something because I actually made them by miself.
I refered the BBC's paper, too. It was very useful.

As additional informations, I write them down for ML users as follows:

* If you make them of wood, they will become very heavy. If walls or
ceiling in your room are very storong, no problem. The finish of wood would be very beautiful. But if not so, please chose lighter material. I used hard density vinyl chloride foam (stylofoam) , but be careful that density is important to prevent the elements to vibrate by sonic waves.

* If you locate them just behind ML panels, you can get very live sound and feel reality from the sound. I think that is the great advantage for ML users, because ML panels radiate very wonderful sound from the back of the panels,too.
